It was a choice that I know my Dearly Departed would have wholeheartedly condoned. Rebuff society and its oppresive puritanical beliefs. 2 posts up. Mythology is not a basis to set your life’s course by. Believing that you are deserved a reward for your actions while spent on earth sounds a little arrogant to me. I believe that the gift of life is reward enough and I should use it wisely not for reward but for the very reason that life is short. And as for Hell, what kind of sick pathological demented being would create such a place. And what kind of person are you believing that some among us deserve such a place. Live and let live.
It’s not mythology, it’s faith and a belief that there is a design to this world we live in and we didn’t and can’t do it all ourselves. We don’t deserve any rewards, but through our actions we are given the choice to decide if we want heaven or hell.
