It’s that time of the week – welcome back to another Try A New Recipe Tuesday (TNRT? lol)!

I don’t know about you guys, but I am SO excited for things to start heating up outside – just in time for Earth Day tomorrow, yay!

And when we start to see the first signs of summer, it makes me want ALL the summer things like sweet treats, fruit (gimme all the watermelon!!) and smoothies!

But also… I wanna look good in the 50 new bikinis I’m probably gonna buy while we’re STILL stuck inside thanks to this pandemic. So, today I’m sharing a smoothie recipe I tried that will give you that little taste of summer we’re all wanting right now – while keeping you on track any summer body goals you might have!

Or, if those goals kinda flew out the window with these new quarantine restrictions, that is totally okay too!

This Blueberry Spinach Breakfast Smoothie (which I’m still enjoying just as much at 7:30 pm, post workout!) by Kristine’s Kitchen is a great source of protein, fiber, and even gives you a jump start on getting some leafy greens in your system, too – all while you enjoy it’s delicious blueberry and cinnamon sweetness!

And, you guessed it – this recipe is also gluten-free! This was totally on accident again since I really just look for recipes that sound good in the moment when I share them with you guys.

Now, I know what you might be thinking, since I was… do I really want a smoothie with the word “spinach” in the middle of it? In fact, I’ve been pretty adamant for my whole 25 years of life about avoiding the mixture of fruits and vegetables, especially in a liquid form… until today!

While it’s obviously not like my sugar-overloaded smoothie I like to pick up at my local cafe before I take my usual walk on the beach, I was relieved to discover that the spinach was pretty undetectable! It also helps that, instead of getting a stomachache from all the sweeteners and whatever other artificial flavors often mixed in your typical smoothie, I was actually able to go about the rest of my day feeling nice and energized – without any sugar crash!

I would love to hear your experience in trying this recipe! This was actually my first time making any type of smoothie, but I’ve been wanting to for a long time because there are so many possibilities – some healthy, some not so healthy. 🙂
